So just before Christmas, I was reading the glossies, and there was a picture of Prince George on his way to school. Picture listed the cost of all his clothes and bag, book etc. The only thing i could remotely afford was a kids book at £7ish, called The Honey Bees Reward, by an author I've never heard of Paul Vagg.
Found it on Amazon, and now i cant stop telling people about it. If you love Room On The Broom, you'll absolutely love this book, and i think it should be in every kids collection.
Don't get me wrong mums, i love all things bee related, i have since i was a kid myself, (at the time of writing this I'm sat in my Bee Movie pyjamas lol), but this book is beautiful and really clever.
I've had to read it so many times to my 4 year old daughter, that i know it off by heart now! Its about a little honey bee that gets stuck in a spiders web, until she is rescued. She promises a reward of gold as her thanks, which obviously at the end turns out to be honey!
What's clever, apart from the fact it's beautifully written, is the age range it could cover. The pictures are amazing, so its great for the younger toddlers, but also for those a little older and reading themselves.
I've recommended it to all the mums at nursery, and cant rave about it enough. Plus if its good enough for Prince George, then its good enough for my princess.
Best kids book I've seen or read in years, love it! on a par with my other favourite Room On The Broom.
