can any of you suggest another mystery novel for a reluctant pre-teen boy reader? Nothing gruesome or scary please. Thanks all.

Elen Caldecott has written a few mystery stories for that age, e.g. Diamonds & Daggers.

The Guggenheim Mystery - I think it is a sequel written by someone else.
