Dolly Parton's Imagination Library: my boys got free books!

This is an amazing scheme! I've had some fab books for my 2 boys, sadly the oldest has just turned 5 so no more books but I wanted to let other people know about the scheme. We've had nearly 60 excellent, age appropriate FREE books from it! Registered children get a book every month, through the post, from birth to five and it is free for families. In my area, there's a lady who runs it and fund raises to cover the cost of the books, I think its about £2 per book and they come from Penguin Random House in partnership with Dolly Parton. It's a bit random but she funds the admin and all the set up costs and a local affiliate has to register local children and pay for just the books at cost. Does anybody else know about this? More details at uk.imaginationlibrary.com/.
I thought other Mumsnetters might like to either sign up their kids are start their own branch Smile

It is a brilliant charity and operates worldwide. Click on the down arrow at the top of this map to find if it is near you in the UK.
