Naming day - poem or passage to read

Evening all,
I have been asked to read something at my god daughters naming day soon. It is not in any way religious so I was thinking perhaps a nice meaningful poem or passage from a book maybe?
I have been googling and found a couple of nice poems but nothing that totally grabs me.
I thought I would ask you for help!
Thanks in advance

Gave some good friends a copy of 'Oh, The Places You'll Go!' by Dr. Seuss for their firstborn, and they read an edited version of it at his christening; worked beautifully. Damn book still makes me cry whenever I read it!

This might be a little serious for a baby but it's a wonderful poem. Hokusai is an ancient Japanese artist and the poem was written by a Hokusai scholar who has been studying him all his life.
These are the words written down:-

And this is the author reciting it on YouTube

Dr Seuss is my son's favourite author, some passages have me dripping tears all over the pages.

Oh, The Places You'll Go! is a firm choice. Choose a piece to read and gift your goddaughter the book,
