I have a 9 yr old bookworm I'd like to expand her reading to help her understand some world issues - would this be a good choice? She is quite sheltered but can be fairly mature for her age.

I'd like to know too. It would be nice to be able to share reading it before my dc's are surly teens and don't want a story anymore.

I've got this for my very mature year 7 daughter. I think that it might be a bit much for anyone younger.

Thanks allthatnonsense - was that definitely the younger reader version as I've heard its less intense than the 'proper' book hence the question.

I didn't know there was a tougher reader version as I would like to share this story with my ten year old. Thank you!

Younger!
