Is it too old?

Yes! All that being plucked out of bed in the dead of night by a giant was too much for my 6 yo.He wouldn't let us continue, so I certainly wouldn't read it to my 4 yo.

futureme · 05/10/2015 12:15

Yes! I tried with my nearly 6 year old and she was terrified!

TenThousandSpoons · 05/10/2015 12:26

My 6 year old enjoyed it but was a bit scared. Definitely wasn't ready for it before that age.

Ok, thanks! I'll look for something more suitable. Smile

My dd had it read at 3, no trouble. Depends on the child I'd say.

I'd go for the twits first - lots of giggles!

PerspicaciaTick · 06/10/2015 10:00

No - my 2 DCs both loved it at that age and I rather enjoy doing the Queen's voice
The Twits, on the other hand, gives me nightmares so I don't read it aloud.
