Do you recognise this 80's book - bullying theme?

I love lurking on these 'find a book' threads, and have just half-remembered this from my childhood.

Girl being bullied on her way home from school.
Tries to avoid bullies.
Makes a map on her wall and sticks pins in it to mark where the bullies are.

That's as far as I can get! I can't remember if it was an American or British book. I imagine I was around 9 when I had it. Not Judy Blume.

No idea how to search for it!

Thanks.

Wasn't a boy and "The 18th Emergency"? by Betsy Byers, I think. I think he kept notes off all sorts.

Thanks, no it wasn't Betsy Byers - I do love her though.

I think she got injured somehow. And then befriended the bully.

Did she have ginger hair and fall off a swing and cut her knee? The illustrations were done sketchy, with watercolour maybe? There was a snake that wrapped around her on one page?

If it's the same book, I can't remember much as I read it when I was really young.
