Recommendations for books about Daddies that commute/work long hours??

Daddy has recently started a job in London which means that he catches the train before our little one wakes up.
I've been searching everywhere for a children's book that is about 'Daddy going to work' or similar, but the only ones I seem to find are about Daddies that go away for long periods, in the forces etc.
Has anyone come across a good book/s that is relevant? I can't believe I can't find one? Confused

Daddy on the moon? Sam's dad is travelling for business and coming home that night. He has broken his rocket and is upset and won't be comforted by his mum saying "Do you want me to repair it darling, I am a qualified mechanic" (love that bit too!). He goes to sleep he dreams different robots, spaceships are coming looking and finding his daddy - on the moon having tea with aliens. In the morning his dad is home and has mended his rocket (or his mum has!). Lovely fun book!

How old are they?

We like Little Bean, not quite about commuting but close enough.

My World (companion to goodnight Moon) by Margaret Wise Brown, has a daddy [rabbit] who goes off to the city to work.

But you're right, there isn't a lot out there.

Alternatively if there's not much out there maybe you could do something similar to what my mum did for my DC - make up a short story, photo book type thing with photos of you DH and your DC (and rest of family) . Story could have a bit about your DH giving your DC a kiss in the morning before he goes to work. And then.....some basic story showing your DH doing something or your DC?

My mum did one based on my DC trying to do something nice for DH when he got home from work by tidying the garden. And as luck would have it an elf came and helped him and they had a little adventure.

Thank you so so much! This is really helpful, I've just bought both the recommended books :)
Making him a story would be really fun! I've done him a weekly planner/Velcro chart thing, so a short story would be really do-able! Thanks so much for the suggestions!

Could you get your DH to record himself reading a couple of favourite stories on CD?
I did this for my DCs (including poems, stories and little songs) when I was away at bedtimes for a while.

What Does Daddy Do? By Rachel Bright. Not about a long commute but about daddy taking Daisy to nursery and then she and her friends imagine all about their daddy's' jobs.

are there any books about mummies who ahve to work long hours and travel abroad for a few days at a time?

That might be useful for me

I was going to suggest Daddy on the Moon too - I read it to my DDs when they were little - their dad worked long hours, sometimes with overnights. They loved it and remember it fondly.

I came across a book called Mummy Goes to Work by Kes Gray, that looked really sweet :)
