Children's book for a naming ceremony

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but we're having a naming ceremony for our nearly four year old son and 16 month old daughter. As there'll be quite a few children there I'm keen to have a short(ish) children's book as the reading. Ideally it would be something to do with family/friends, siblings or names. Any suggestions?

I read Prayer for a Blueberry Girl (Neil Gaiman)at my guide-daughter's naming ceremony.

There's a poem called "Isn't my name magical" which might suit the occasion well.

This poem isn't at all suitable for a celebration, I'm afraid but I found it when I was googling poems about names. It's beautiful and so so sad Sad

The Places You'll Go by dr Seuss
We had it for dd's naming, it was perfect.

I like BRS suggestion. Dr Seuss would go down very well with young children.

It reminds me of when DD was little and pretended that she could read. I had been reading Red Fish Blue Fish to her and she opened the book and "read" the first two pages to me.

It's not a book, but this poem popped up on my FB feed yesterday, and I thought of this thread Make the Ordinary Come Alive.

Lol BunBaker

DD does that too. She's 2 and adores her 5 yo brother. She "reads" his Biff and Chip books. It's very tedious doing them twice every night Wink.

I was also going to suggest "the places you'll go" - it's perfect for such an occasion. I'd usually suggest Blueberry Girl but as it's for a girl and a boy I think it's better not to for this particular one.
