The Bell Family- by Noel Streatfield

Would this book be a good choice for my niece's 10th birthday? She is a very good reader but not very worldly.

I haven't read the Bell family set by Noel Streatfield, but all the children's books I know of by her would be suitable.

I was eyeing this up for my 10 year old the other day. It looked just right to me.

My dd has read Ballet Shoesfor school. She wasn't keen before she started as she assumed it was one if those rainbow fairy type of books but she loved it. Then she talked my nephew into reading it. Heloved it too.

That sounds encouraging. The new edition has lovely illustations by Shirley Hughes.
