Audio books / stories for a 3 y.o.?

Can anyone suggest some audio books, stories or collections of poems suitable for a 3.5 y.o. boy? I don't particularly need the hard copy book to go with them. I can do either CDs or downloads.

In print, DS1 enjoys reading Benedict Blathwayte's Little Red Train books, Lynley Dodd, Julia Donaldson and other books with a good rhythm.

He is very into trains but not into things like Thomas the Tank Engine or other character-based books.

He is an anxious and easily-frightened child so I don't want anything too scary.

My 3 yo DS likes Shirley Hughes stories.

"Alfie Gets in First" deals with a 4yo accidentally being on the wrong side of the door to mum, getting upset, how the adults come up with various ways to get into the house and how Alfie solves the problem himself.

"Dogger" is about a favourite toy getting lost, Dave is very upset, but then spots Dogger for sale at the school fete and his older sister solves the problem for him and he gets Dogger back in the end.

They are very good for dealing with normal toddler based fears. It also means that as the problem is dealt with by children in the book, it is very empowering for them. I got these CD's with the books, as it was always good to show the happy faces at the end when my DC were tiny.

There are also Charlie and Lola, Winnie the witch, Hairy Maclary CD's, and if you search on 'Disney read a long' there are lots available.

My naughty little sister is great (my 2 boys love it).

Otherwise there is Kipper (read by Dawn French) and Mog (all on Amazon).

The Paddington Bear stories read by Stephen Fry were a huge hit with my son when he was 3 last summer. 7 hours of listening!

The Tiger Who came to tea.

We listened (a lot) to The Snowman.

The teeny weeny tadpole is quite good too, and I don't want to go to bed (Both done in a series or by a company called Little Tiger Tales).

And just realised that 4yo DD is listening to Quentin Blake's Mr Magnolia, read by Richard Briers. And also loves The Cat in the Hat, read by Ade Edmonson.

We had a collection of Mog stories on tape (!) which were lovely - I think it included Mog and the V E T, Mog the Forgetful Cat and a couple of others. I'm sure they'd still be available.

DD's other favourite around that age was a collection of Percy the Park Keeper stories I think read by Richard Briers. I can still quote bits of them

Both are completely non-threatening and non-scary for sensitive little ones :) (We also had Percy on dvd.)
