Ds loves beast quest books - what else might he like?

He's 7. Loves reading but is still put off a bit by longer books with no pictures like horrid Henry etc
Anything similar length/feel to beast quest that he could try?

I would say Horrid Henry were easier than Beast Quest books, and with as many pictures.

Ds reads beast quest. He also loves Horrible Histories (and horrible geography etc). Although the books are longer, they have a lot of pictures and are broken into small sections making them easy to read.

Cows In Action, and Astrosaurs, series, both by Steve Cole. There is also the Dinosaurs Cove series by Rex (?) Stone.
