Hi, just wondered what books your three year olds were into? We read the same books over and over again. She's just turned three and really likes her Charlie and Lola books and a few others we keep repeating. Just wondered what yours were reading?

Anything by Julia Donaldson is a winner. He also likes classic fairy tales like three little pigs.

Anything with dinosaurs in it! Strongly advise a trip to the library, returning with an arm-load of random stuff! Some you'll like and seek out the same author, and others you won't.

Charlie Stinky Socks books
Emily Brown books
Dr Seuss
Oliver Jeffers

Would second recommendation for the library, and also suggest your local charity shop. We often find new authors there, and then reserve other books by them from the library.

Don't discount non-fiction at this age, my ds loves to look through my wild flower book and the eye witness guides are fab:

www.amazon.co.uk/Music-Eyewitness-Guides-Neil-Ardley/dp/0863183395/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1368902596&sr=1-1&keywords=eyewitness+guide+music

He spends ages asking me what noises the instruments make, what they're called and how big they are etc. Smile

The Wonderwise books are also really cool. The Book People sometimes do a set of 20 of them for about £15.
