Book recs (preferably a series) for 15 yo DS?

He loved The Hunger Games, and the "Gone" series by Michael Grant. Can anyone recommend something along those lines please?

Knife of Letting go series (Chaos Walking) by Patrick Ness. My nephew can't decide whether his favourite book is that or the Hunger Games.

Game of Thrones? They know boys of this age like series, so you could ask at Waterstones?

The Charlie Higson series (The Fear, The Dead, The Enemy and The Sacrifice)- grown ups become crazed cannibals and children/teens are left to survive as they can.

Also the Rot and Ruin series by Jonathan Maberry. Twenty years after the zombie epidemic the survivors are living in compounds, but the real enemies are no longer the zombies (who are still around and still a threat)

He might also enjoy 'The Walking Dead' graphic novels. And 'Divergent' and 'Insurgent. Oh and World War Z. Also "Children of the Dust' and I second The knife of never letting go series, very good. City of Ember (and sequels?). Noughts and Crosses series...oh oh oh and The Forest of Hands and Teeth series

All of these are very fast paced, well plotted and written. These sort of books are my guilty pleasure and I loved 'the Hunger Games'.

My dyslexic sisters struggled quite a bit with the knife of never letting go because of the way it is written, so you may want to keep this in mind if your DS has dyslexia.
