Any recommendations, just had a look at the thread lower down for a little girl but a lot of recommendations wouldn't interest him. Would be grateful for any ideas. He is happy to read on his own.

My DS loved the Horrid Henry books. He also enjoyed the Horrible History books &, old fashioned I know, but...Just William had him nearly crying with laughter.

I'm wondering if you can detect a theme here Wink

Ohh - and don't forget poetry, Tyger, Tyger - was a big favourite, as was the Pied Piper of Hamlyn & The Jaberworky (probably sp there - sorry) were regularly requested as bedtime stories (with actions of course!). He's 15 now & reciting Jaberworky together (with actions) is our 'party trick' at Xmas etc.

Horrid Henry, Mr Majeika, Captain Underpants, Jeremy Strong Pirate School series, Frank Rodgers Colour Puffins- DS is reading a Penguin one at the moment, full of action. Jeremy Strong other stuff. Some of the above we read to him, then he reads himself as well.
