Actually a naming ceremony so not religious preferably.
I'd really like something from a mother / aunt point of view about helping them grow, loving them or being a hand to hold. Advising them or reassuring them.

Can anyone think of a story book along these lines?

It's cliched but Ds loved it, No Matter What. Not sure what gender either fox is. We used it when things got tough, when cuddles were needed, whenever.

He also loved owl babies. My 3 year old godson loves owl babies too.

Sorry, should have said, think you could excerpt from owl babies and even read the whole of no matter what. It's very short.

I agree with "No matter what". It's lovely.
