Which books do you hope that your dcs will love?

I have had success with Ramona and the Willard Price books. But I was listening to the Chalet school programme (thanks for the link Northernlurker) and realised that I will be sad if my dds don't love them like I did. Also Anne of Green Gables, Antonia Forrest and Noel Streatfield. They were such an important part of my childhood that I will feel my dcs are missing out if they are not interested in them.

Anyone else feel the same?

Swallows and Amazons.

Looking forward to introducing DD to Willard Price, right up her street.

Jane Austen (when she's older of course!)

So far she has been suitably enthusiastic about all my favourites with the exception of the Carbonel books. Not sure why they weren't a hit, she likes books about animals, books about magic, etc etc, but they just weren't, which was rather sad as I loved them.

I capture the castle

(Too many more to mention)
