My ds usually gets his teams annual and match of the day annual.

or do you mean story books - if so rob childs does a few different story books (as well as this one) which are probably just a little to old for your ds to read on his own, but you could read together at bed time etc

Tom Palmer does excellent football books for that age. His Football Academy series is ideal. David Beckham and Theo Walcott have also written football books for 5-8's.
