I borrowoed this trilogy from our library as I'd always wanted to read it, and now my son won't let me near it. He started it yesterday, stayed up to read it and this morning woke up extra early to continue. He is only on page 45, but I am so pleaed that he is doing this. He was enthralled by the idea of action/plastic toys coming to life and interacting with their owners.
If you have a lego-mad child, they may well be interested in this book, too.
