Sorry if this has already been done but... siince I had a baby I have noticed that almost all the children's books I have feature bottle feeding.

Are there any which show a breastfeeding mum?

Belgo's book is better than mine though, love that book

it is a lovely book. We have hundreds of children's books, but it's quite sad that I can only think of that one that features bfing.

I'm sure Katie Morag books do. They are lovely stories too.

thank you. Isn't it funny, I worked for Waterstone's for years and as a children's bookseller for some of the time and it was something I never noticed.

I remember reading a KM book to dd and noticing the mum in the background bfing and obviously pointed it out to dd!

We have Topsy and Tim's new baby, the Usborne new baby one and the Katie Morag one about becoming a big sister (which I think is called Katie Morag and the Tiresome Ted as she takes out her angst on her bear).

My New Baby

I happened to find this one in my house just after dd was born, having got it free with a Child's Play pack 3 years ago. It's sooo like our family it's incredible. The mum is breastfeeding. The dad is cutting cucumber (my ds has cucumber for playschool lunch, which dh makes for him). The dad carries the new baby in a sling. The mum is drinking a cup of tea! It's a picture book and creates lots of discussions. My ds is highly literate, but still loves this book.
