hello, my DS 4.5 loves animals and i've been trying to find a good UK magazine about animals/nature/wildlife. He's got loads of books, but i want to get him something that can be delivered every month or so as a reward for helping with chores.

We already get the cbeebies one with the free plastic animals. The national geographics little kids one looks good, but i think it has to be ordered from america. Does anyone else read this? Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks. x

You can get the UK version of National Geographic, my DD gets this monthly. We use Tescos vouchers for it.

Take a look at Wildlife Watch & consider joining? Think it's £10pa to be a member. You get a 1/4ly magazine. As a member you can at that age also join your local goup where monthly activities are free! eg minibeast hunt, pond-dipping, making bird feeders, walk around a reserve but all with people who know this stuff Grin. Our group likes the parents to stay.

There is a younger version to the NG 'Kids' - but as you said it needs to be ordered from the US.

I also have an animal fan in the house and will be watching this thread as I have been unable to find anything suitable ...

My DS was looking at a PDSA Pet Protectors magazine at the vets recently, think will probably sign him up for that, looks good.
