I'm bored of reading the same old favourites, which are: Bear Hunt, Giant Jam Sandwich, Cat in the Hat, most Julia Donaldson, most John Burningham, most Shirley Hughes, Topsy and Tim, Mrs Pepperpot, most Eric Carle, Lauren Child's Golidlocks.

DD hasn't really taken to Winnie the Witch.

Just wondered if there are any gems out there which I could order from library and try out on her?

ps
In terms of Chapter Books she likes Winnie the Pooh, Flat Stanley and Milly Molly Mandy. Doesn't quite get Faraway Tree or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yet.

TIA Smile

Oh, and another one of her favourites is Tiger Who Came to Tea

My Naughty Little Sister Stories is very like Milly Molly Mandy and has similar sweet illustrations - the Finn Family Moomintroll books are good for younger kids as the language is quite varied and the stories are very gentle - beautiful illustrations too.

My dd was obsessed with Ruth Brown's A Dark Dark Tale at this age (how many times?!!), Burglar Bill,Raymond Briggs,Funnybones (also by the Ahlbergs - anything by them is great)
