Do boys enjoy Enid Blyton?

I was wondering if any Enid Blyton books would interest today's boys. I loved them when I was young and thought I'd try reading something to my 5 yr old.
Do they enjoy Famous Five and the likes?

My son 7 adores them.

He started off at 5 with the faraway tree and wishing chair ones and read them to himself. Then it was Secret 7, and he's nearly read all the Famous 5 ,Island of,Secret off etc.

I need to wean him off them as he's addicted and it's costing me a fortune(the library doesn't have them all).
