I have a precocious (in the nicest sense of the word) god-daughter who is 6 and a half and mad about horses....will she like Warhorse?

If not, what do you recommend?

I think War Horse may be slightly too old in content for a six year old. My personal MM favourite at the moment is 'Not Bad for a Bad Lad' - a beautifully illustrated (by Michael Foreman) book about a 'naughty boy' who, given the opportunity to work with horses, comes good in the end.
