Not been told cancer but worried.

Daughter been referred to orthopedics after having an xray on twisted ankle and they said it looks "unusual" they asked if she had been feeling unwell recently or had a fever which set off slight alarm bells in my head. They told us I will get a call in a day or two.
Anyone had any experience like this. I'm sure it's probably nothing. But I'm worrying a little.

Hi! Oh it all turned out fine. In the end theybcouldnt find anything wrong and They said she must have just born with her bone like that. Took a long time fkr the ankle to get better. But she is back to her normal self now and back at gymnastics even.

Update .....probably unrelated but worried
Dd found lump under hip bone on panty line. 1 large one small. Painless. She is fine in herself.
Been referred for urgent bloods and ultrasound.
Has anyone else had similar experience.

Sounds like it could be an enlarged lymph node OP? Could be that she’s maybe had a mild infection down below? My son has had swollen lymph nodes before and they can be stubborn to reduce back down x

Is the lump moveable? I get little ones sometimes after a virus like a cold, has she had a cold recently?

How is your DD @Chickencuddle - hope you've had the scan and all came back clear. Just to add, my DS had a lymph node in his groin swell up to the size of an egg (!) - he had grazed his knee (nothing major at all) and his immune system just massively overreacted. It took a few weeks to go down.

In the groin? Lymph nodes. Or on the outside sort of between hip and leg? Cysts?

Im guessing groin from bloods and US.

any recent infection? Same DD as before?

what are your concerns? X

Been given an appointment for 20th January for scan and bloods.
No recent infections. Same dd as before. But she is a well child and no concerns other than this.

Hope it is diagnosed and treated soon if treatment needed. Never easy to deal with children’s health issues when you’re not sure what’s going on. 🌺
