At present I am allowed 3, 1 under 1, 1 till early years, and one 5 and above.

My 4 year old is starting school this sept, how does this affect my numbers?

So you have a reg for 2 in the EY reg (of which 1 can be under 12mths) and 1 on the CC reg.

What you will need to do is contact Ofsted notify them that your DC will be at school from Sept and can they send a new cert out stating what you can have now. In theory you should be able to have another mindee, but their seems to be a lot of confusion about as to whether or not your own DC's are counted on yor cert (mine wasn't but they did give me another one when she turned 8 )

Also if your DC starts school in Sept, if they are having staggered settling in, Ofsted don't class as FT school until they are their all day everyday.

Extract from this document page 4 fourth paragraph down explains what happens with regards to your ratio. You should be allowed 3 all who could be in the early years age group. I guess your numbers are reduced because you have two children of your own under 8.

So in essence it doesn't change, which is fair I suppose!
