Childminder for son going to DCPS Nursery

Mum1901 · 14/06/2010 14:27

Hello,

My 4 yr old son will be joining the DCPS nursery on gallery road in Sep 2010.

I am looking out for a registered childminder in west dulwich to drop him off and pick him up from school.

Any ideas on how to go about getting this sorted out? I have heard of childminders specific to schools but how do I contact them?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

School might have a list.
Or have you tried the Family Information Service, sorry no good at links and stuff,
Or try on a forum like www.childmindingforum.co.uk, someone on there maybe able to help.

Have you tried www.westdulwichforum.co.uk?

Or alternatively, ring Southwark Council for a list of all their childminders with vacancies.

You could also try www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk

Thank you. Yes, I have posted on both the forums. I will ring the council too.

The nursery will let you put up a notice on the noticeboard - probably worth a try although you'll need to get in quick, as only two and a bit weeks of term remaining! you might also want to consider a nanny share arrangement - there are usually a few dulwich posts on www.nannyshare.co.uk.
