Hi I am doing my NVQ3 in CCLD and have my assessor coming tomorrow, I will have 2 and 4 year old and she would like me to show her bodies, how they work and how to protect them. I have drawn a complete blank, has anyone else had a similar ob done for their NVQ TIA

eeerrrm, no - nothing as planned as that when I did mine! . Have you asked why she wants to do that particular ob? I planned my own obs and anything that wssnt covered I provided written evidence for - mind, that was a couple of yrs ago

You could draw around the oldest child with either chalk outside or large paper. stick pictures of body parts on the pictures or draw on. Sing heads, shoulders, knees and toes.

Let them run and feel their heartbeats?

Fruit snack and talk about healthy eating?

Sorry - didn't have to do anything structured at mine.

Coats & hats protect them from rain

Suncream & hats protect them from sunshine

Let them chose which they need to go outside

Thanks everyone. My assessor always gives me a 'topic' that she would like to see covered am doing work based learning and have a year to complete but want to get it done sooner. Last time we did healthy eating and I covered Handas Surprise which meant I could also cover different cultures. Love the idea of drawing round body and the exercises/ letting them choose what needed in garden. Do you think if I also ended by reading Hansel and Gretel or Red Riding hood I could also get some protection in there re stranger danger?
I am now in a preschool (was a cm but gave up full timers about 6 months ago and now only have school hol children) so maybe it is structured as I am in preschool.
