Language school in London for au-pair

Does anyone know of a good language school for an au-pair in London. We are based near Greenwich, but our au-pair is willing to travel. She wants to get a formal qualification and do classes 2 or 3 times a week.

Thanks for any advice.

You could try the English Studio. I think they have a few branches - we know someone whose AP goes to the Tottenham Court Road branch.

By the sounds of things, she has been very happy with it but it's not the cheapest one going if cost is a factor. Ours goes to a local college. There must be one in Greenwich - hopefully someone will be along soon with more local suggestions!

I have no idea but can give pointers for choosing a language college:

What qualification does she want to get? Is there a specific level she needs to acheive? If she doesn't know yet then I can give you a rundown of the ones I have prepared students for and their advantages/disadvantages but it depends on her motivation really.

What are the teachers experiences/qualifications? Ideally the teachers will be TEFL-Q (MA or DELTA) to get the best quality!

Do they do specific 'au pair' classes or will she be in a group with a whole mix of people?

Does the college have a social side as well? Do they organise 'cultural outings'?

Do they have a library of resources the au pair can use?

What tests are the teachers trained to prepare for?

Will they write a letter/evaluation at the end of the course?
