What have or are you going with school being off?

Hi just wanted to know how your May Bank Holiday was and what is it like to mind with your school age children home too.

Doing three days this week.

Was not minding on Monday. Did some gardening which I really enjoy.

All my kids are usually in full time school. Childminding when my kids are at school is a little easier as I can give my undivided attention to who ever I am minding.

Had to take the little one for a walk today to get her off to sleep then put her in a quite room away from the NOISE. My kids at times can talk really loudly.

As it was raining today, we went to a steam railway. I hope the weather improves - then we can spend more time in park/gardens type places making dens, adding to our stick and stone collections.

If you are not minding anything planned for your own family?

Love the school holidays. No school runs. We can just stay home, or go out as we please. Wish it was the holidays all the time.

We made pancakes for breakfast and then had a lovely day at RAF Hendon with a friend(instead of Butterfly World because of the rain) and when we got home the children made a library with all their books. I like the school holidays - much more relaxed without the time constraints of school runs.
