usually around £5 per hour plus 'snacks' i think is ok.

It depends though, when we went out it was £5, but if it was into a part of an hour I would give her the full £5 and would often round it up so if it was £15 would give her £20... hmm no wonder she loved babysitting for us, the use of fridge, a quiet place to study/watch tv and no kids running around.

I pay a friend's teenage daughter £5 an hour plus taxi or lift home and she's very happy with that. My children are in bed before she arrives and the most she has to do is read a story/tuck them back in if they wake up. She watches a film or studies and enjoys the peace and quiet. I've actually tried to talk to her mother about paying more and she says it would be crazy.

£5 per hour plus lots of treats to eat and drink.I always round it up too. If we both go out and one of us isn't drinking we will give her a lift home.

DD normally gets paid £20 for the evening and she is thrilled with that.

Plus she gets treats etc..

My 20 year old DSis gets £6 an hour - she has a CRB, 1st Aid, babysitting and children's clubs exp and is reckoned as a fairly good deal.

My 17 year old DBro gets £5 an hour hoovering up the jobs DSis gives him! He also has CRB, 1st aid and a couple of years babysitting/childrens club exp.
