Hello - not due til November but already thinking about next year... Could anyone tell me very roughly the costs for a nanny/share for 3-5 days a week? We live in SW London.

Thanks!

For 4 days it's something like 2.5k per month (gross of all taxes but doesn't include costs of activities, heating, petrol , food etc) that is probably at mid/low end of range.

Not sure what share deals are.

that's 30K/year that a family pays out of their own salary! I wouldn't be left with much for us to survive on with my salary alone. And for not even 5 days/week. "and that's mid/low end of range".
Wow. I guess I just didn't realize how expensive it was. I pay my cm £40/day for 8 hours/day 5 days/week.

oh, nannyshare still, 1250/month is quite a bit.

You would be looking at from £7-£14 gross depending on if nanny is just for your family or a nanny share (then nanny share is top end split between 2 families), on nannies experience and qualifications and if nanny is bringing own child to work or not.

i nanny in sw london and work 3 days a week. I get just under £300 a week.
The hourly rate is between £8-£10
It depends on how experienced you want your nanny to be.

We share in Wimbledon, 5 days a week, mixture of care "at our house" and "at their house" and we pay £275 net a week (not sure what the other family pay). Our nanny is late-20s, experienced, qualified, OFSTED registered and wonderful. In addition activities, petrol etc. can be up to £50 a month but we only have a 14 month old, expecting that to go up as our DS grows. We settle tax & NI via Nannytax. Good luck!

"The hourly rate is between £8-£10 " that is if your not in nannyshare arrangment. Nanny shares in SW of London pays between £11 and £13ph net for an experienced nanny.
