A really s*&t day (excuse my language) but my AP steps in, covers childcare for the afternoon (misses her class). Takes my children out for dinner, washing on and hung out, house tidy.
I am so lucky, need to do something extra special this week. (thinking cap on)
Just posting to share, hope your help is just as good.

Good to hear when things are going well - we all tend to hear the bad stuff - I am the help but I think I do the same good job as your aupair

Brilliant to hear.I had a couple of fantastic girls last summer.
I gave one a trip to the hairdressers as a pressie(she really wanted her hair coloured) Its nice to hear the good stuff,my new AP starts in June.

Aw that's so lovely to hear. Has she mentioned anything she'd like to do recently that you could organise? It's so nice when employers show their appreciation.

Could you get a her gift certificate for a mani/pedi or something like that? I don't usually spend my money on pampering stuff but am always delighted to get a gift certificate for something like that, it makes me feel so much more appreciated than an extra bit of cash, as it forces me to relax a while and be looked after, and have pretty toes for a while too lol

over your wonderful AP.

I organised a theatre trip to Grease and dinner for my last AP and a friend of hers. AP had a great time and said it was a memorable event of her time over here in the UK.

You'll know what your AP likes or enjoys so maybe something based around that perhaps?

We saw a fabulous show and said she should go but she said she couldn't afford to - perfect chance now! I did give her extra money this week for the hours but something more will also be nice.

Yes, I wanted to share a good AP story as we do hear the problems and i have had some in the past.

My current girl has been here two years so I am very very fortunate she has been so amazing.
