Childminders and after school activities

Hi there. I may need to change my working hours which will impact being able to take DD to her after school activities (Rainbows, dance lessons, swimming). Do childminders drop charges at these sorts of activities or would you need more of a nanny/au pair?

Thanks

I do as a CM if it fits in with the other mindees, but then I have an assistant who does all the running around stuff. But bear in mind that they may not want to stay with your DD at the activities as they will most likely have other mindees as well.

My CM does after school activities. That is, she goes to regular activities every week with all her charges, not 'to order'.

FWIW, my childminder does not pick up from after school activities. DS goes to school football and school choir and I have to arrange for someone else to pick him up from them.

I do, but each arrangement is agreed individually ... parents need to ask first as it depends on the location and time, whether I am required to remain on the premises or just drop off ... and what other commitments I have already made & whether it will compromise the care of other mindees as to whether I can agree.
