I have got a giant bubble-ator from here but all the bubble liquids I have tried are too 'heavy' and the bubbles pop even before they have been formed

V frustrating for all

So, has anyone got something like this and where do you get your bubble mixture? I am happy to make my own if you can supply the recipe/proportions (w/up liquid/glycerine/water??)

making your own - its just an experiment to get the proportions right.
you need to make it 24hrs in advance

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15 minutes
Here's How:
Get out a large cup.
Pour 1/2 cup dish soap into the cup.
Add 1 1/2 cups water to the cup.
Measure 2 teaspoons of sugar into the water/soap mixture.
Gently stir your mixture.
Go outside and blow bubbles!
Tips:
Don't shake or stir your bubbles too much.
Store your bubbles in a tightly sealed container.
Experiment with blowing bubbles using different items!
What You Need:
Large Cup
1/2 cup Dish Soap
1 1/2 cups Water
2 teaspoons Sugar

Best Homemade Bubble Solution
1 cup water
2 tablespoons light karo syrup or 2 tablespoons glycerin
4 tablespoons dishwashing liquid

(normally best made 24hrs in advance)
Mix together and have fun!

Homemade Colored Bubbles
1 cup granulated soap or soap powder
1 quart warm water
Liquid food coloring
Plastic straws
Small juice cans

Dissolve soap in warm water. Stir in food coloring until desired color is attained. Give each child a can about 1/3 full of mix and a plastic straw to blow the bubbles.

Fancy Homemade Bubbles
1 cup water
2 tablespoons liquid detergent
1 tablespoon glycerin
1 teaspoon sugar

Mix all ingredients together until sugar dissolves. Enjoy!

Once you've gotten your bubble solution mixed up, have fun making some of these homemade bubble wands.
