My childminders are worth their weight in gold

DD1 and DD2 go to CM Mon to Wed. They are a husband and wife team and are brilliant, however today they surpassed themselves.

Today DD1 has been sick in school and was very upset. School tried to contact me but I was at playgroup with DD2 so didn't hear my phone. The school rang my CM and she told them not to worry, her husband would collect DD1 and they would keep trying to contact me!

When I got out of play group I had 3 missed calls from CM. When I spoke to her she explained all this to me. I was only around the corner so was able to meet her DH at school and get get DD!

When I thanked him he told me not to worry, their daughter had sick too and his wife was on the way to collect her!
What stars!!

My Dingaling, Thank You for posting, Cm's get such a bashing, and it is lovely to hear a post like yours.

We always hear the negative things about Childcare, not so often the good.

Your Cm's sound like brilliant professionals.

I quite literally could not run my life without my CM. DD was ill at school last week, high temperature, swollen glands, sleepy etc. The school phoned childminder as she lives round corner and I work about 30 miles away. She went stright to pick her up and took her home with her and tucked her in to bed. She called me to let me know what she has done and said to not worry about fetching her until end of day as she's no trouble in bed...

Didnt even charge me for the time... She got some flowers though
