Flexible childcare required in Kenley, Surrey

Hello, can anyone advise/ help me? My son is due to start school in sept but I work full time and my husband is freelance. My husband can get called at a days notice to work so we are wondering if there are any good after school clubs or any nannies who would be available at a days notice. Is that too much to ask of someone? We don't have any family and are a bit concerned about it. Any suggestions/ advise would be so helpful. Thanks, Angie

I guess it would be best to have a number of people to call on just in case. With anybody unless you pay the full fee to have the person ready and reserved just for you may have a trouble with their availability. I would contact a few childminders willing to provide ad hoc care and talk to them. I'm not sure how that would work if you wanted to get help with paying their fees through tax credits ... not sure if you can claim for multiple carers ... maybe somebody else knows.
There are plenty of childminders in your area.
