Nannying with your own older child, anyone do/used to do it?

My ds is nearly 8 and I'm now considering going back to nannying after being a cm for over 4 years. I'm still weighing up the pros and cons of both jobs but if I were to find a nanny job I'd consider putting ds into after-school care.

I was wondering if there were others who are or have been in a similar situation and can offer any advice or things I should be thinking about.

hi i work as a nanny for two days a week ,whilst my own child is at school . Im very lucky to work school hours (8 till 4 ) and work for a teacher .
My only problems occurs when my son is ill , which has been acouple of times this year, they have managed to bring in help , but not all employers can do this .
You would need to make sure that you can cover your own child or maybe have your child with you ,if he is ill . Most people i saw when i was looking for a job didnt have a problem with this .
Good luck in your job hunt .
