www.polaroid.com/Products/Polaroid+PoGo/Overview/Overview/1804 here

link it to your camera, bluetooth your mobile (haven't QUITE mastered blue tooth yet) print the photo peel off the label and stick straight into the diary

I still print out a series of pics for obs but for a quick snap without having to lump out my printer, wait for tubes in my old laptop to warm up it's brilliant, saves so much time and effort

It was in the last who minds

Highly recommended

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/03/2010 17:38

I paid about £20 for the printer unit and perhaps £8 for 30 papers

LMGs has been ranting and raving about something and I'm sure it's this. Sounds fab

ayla99 · 31/03/2010 18:02

I paid about £22 on Amazon but not impressed with the first pics - came out with lines all over them, you only get the middle part of your picture as a large border is cropped out, and the colours are bland.

There are no written instructions, just a small leaflet you have to work out what the pictures mean. The papers have a blue card at the bottom that says to Keep At the bottom of the pack. But in the absence of any written note at the top or on the pack, I'd already put the papers in one at a time. So when you put the blue thing back in it just spits it out again.

I assumed the green light meant it was charged, it did 2 pics and then conked out. Sold as a portable item, I expected the charge to last a bit longer! Did I just get a duff one? Everyone else thinks they're awesome

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/03/2010 18:05

oh no ayla

sounds like you got a dud

send it back??

Ohh i have one of these they are brill - also good for the children to print out their own shots and see the results instantly. I also have a wireless printer set up in the playroom connected to my phone and laptop so printing bigger stuff is a doddle too.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/03/2010 18:38

at having the room to do wireless printing

OP posts:
navyeyelasH · 31/03/2010 18:41

Mwuahahaha!

BALD you can get some dinky little wireless printers, staples do one for around £30 I think? Mine is set up on the shelf in the playroom.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/03/2010 18:46

ah I shall have to do some research

Hayleycm · 31/03/2010 19:40

oo i mght get one with next pay, so excited!

Hayleycm · 31/03/2010 19:42

so i connect my camera now to it and it prints??

BoysAreLikeDogs · 31/03/2010 19:51

yep

a small pic, about 6 x 4 cm; not super dooper quality but good enough

Hulababy · 31/03/2010 19:53

I have a PoGo too. The icture quality IME varies greatly. Sometimes it is really clear and bright, sometimes more grainy (or with lines across) and colours dull. However, we do always get all the photo and the quality is fine enough for DD's scrapbooks, etc.

AvadaKedavra · 31/03/2010 19:54

I have one and thought I would use it loads but I've not really, it takes a long time to charge and then you only get a couple of pics out (which you cannot stack up waiting, has to be done one at a time) before the charge goes, it won't print while charging either

It's got a lot of potential but too many downsides to use regularly for me.

Got mine via the CM forum at Amazon for £35 delievered with 130 pages.

onceinabluemoon · 01/04/2010 22:19

I love mine too! Got it form Amazon for under 30 quid.

No problem with the quality of photos but I think this is going to depend on the quality of the camera on your phone; mine's a Sony Cybershot. (Not trying to infer other people's camera are rubbish...). Mine does better pics in bright light so the lighting seems to affect as well.

The charge doesn't last long but I have had no problems printing whilst the printer is charging so maybe yours is dud Avada? I can also send 2 pics at a time (but no more or it doesn't work)

The blue card should be on the bottom of the pack, it gets 'read' and 'spat out'. If you do not run this card through first it will not print properly.

Anybody having probs there is an excellent walk through on you tube

Hulababy · 01/04/2010 22:22

onceinabluemoon - I have not found the camera quality affects it. I have used mine with my phone's camera, a Canon Ixus digital compact camera and a Canon 450D DSLR camera - all have produced some decent pics and others where the photos are dull or have lines on them.

onceinabluemoon · 01/04/2010 22:33

Hulababy, thanks for clarifying. I'd only tried mine with a couple of different cameras so was just going by personal experience.

FeelingOld · 01/04/2010 22:39

I have one too, i use it only for the pics i take on my phone as i cant put them on my laptop (techno phobe!!). I thought the instuctions were poor but if you google it you can see it being used on on youtube, thats how i discovered how to load it anyway! I paid £19.99 for mine and its ok for observation photos when i have forgotten my camera.

Hayleycm · 02/04/2010 09:47

hmm iwil have to have think about htis as would be my only source of pictures, my laptop has a fault and crashes when i try to upload photos from my camera so have to traipse to asda get them all printed inone go

SillyMillysMummy · 02/04/2010 11:46

I have one too use it for diaries, is fab! doesnt wireless from iphone though.

Tas1 · 04/04/2010 09:34

I've just got one.

I think its fab, ok the print quality and the colours are not fantastic, but they are good enough for what I use it for.

Within 2mins I have, taken the photo, printed it off and stuck it in the folders.

Its great for fridge magnets too, just stick on one of those small round sticky magnets to the back and hey presto.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 04/04/2010 09:38

yy tas, the 2 minute job-done factor is brilliant

love it
