Hi all

Got yet another question for you.

Has anybody advertised their vacancies or have parents put an ad on simplychildcare.com?

I've heard that its a really good place to put vacancies and so on, but I have not had any calls, just wondering if anybody found a childminder/nanny or got calls from parents.

Thank you

No I haven't but have you tried childcare.co.uk? I have got work through them.

yes I have I have also tried: Childminders Directory, Netmums, Hallo London, Gumtree, vivastreet, local shops, supermarkets, school, nursery. Nobody seems to be interested.

I found my current (nanny) job through simplychildcare - I posted an ad and my employers saw it and contacted me. Well worth the £8 or however much it was that I paid to join!

I have found childcare.co.uk to be by far the most useful in terms of parents viewing my profile and, if you pay to upgrade, contacting families yourself. I have had 2 enquiries from there and one lady wanting childcare later in the year has me in her favourites

so the best bet is to pay for adverts?

thanks all for replying.

I advertised on simplychildcare and found I got very few responses to my advert so contacted all the nannies whose adverts seemed compatible with our requirements and asked them to have a look at our advert.

Almost everyone we contacted replied!

I've found 2 nannies through Simply Childcare so worked well for me. I did chase some nannie myself though.

What hours/role are you offering? The fact that you've had no replies from any website makes me wonder if you're looking for someone to do unusual hours perhaps?

I am a childminder and i work 8am-6pm
