Whats the best way of finding a nanny for 2 days a week

I have been offered a part time role and can work 2 days a week. I would think it would be easy to find a nanny given that lots of women work 3 days a week - or am I wrong? Whats the best way to look for a part-time nanny? Never used any type of childcare other than pre-school for DC so completely new to this.

gumtree
advertising in places that do stuff for children, such as cafes, gyms, post offices
nanny agency (although you'll have to pay a fee)

netmums and nannyjob

I got mine advertising on gumtree, had loads of applications, most of them decent as well.

thanks worried about quality of applicants from gumtree although quite common to hire nannies this way round here. Will put an advert in a couple of places too.

Where abouts are you and when do you want care from?

Netmums, nannyjob and gumtree. Someone on here may happen upon you too.

It's pretty easy to self-advertise and plenty of guidance on the recruitment process on here. I would also recommend getting an ofsted reg nanny as they'll be as checked as any agency can check on paper. That way you just need to check refs whch you'd probably do in any case.

I used a local agency. Just felt happier that way and the fee was very reasonable. I was only looking for one day. If you can be flexible I am sure you will have plenty of applicants for 2 days, as many nannies work 3 days as you say.

I would put adverts up in the local school on there notice board? this usually works well and Gumtree x
