Daycare child crying all day

Hello there, this is on behalf of a friend. She has a little boy who will not stop crying all day long unless she sits with him. Even the day his brother was there he still cried all day. has anyone got experience of this? What did you do?

How old is the child, what kind of daycare is it, how many days a week does child attend and how long has he/she been going?

He is only going about twice a week and has been going for about a month. I guess he might just need time to settle in, but it seems so awful.

your poor friend.. if its any help my friends son was just thre same.. he would cry all the time at playgroup and drove us all demented.. he is now a lovely totally adjusted normal teen and we tease him about it.. he cant remember so it wasnt a big trauma to him at the time.. just to mum..

they all do eventually grow up..
