hi, what do you do when your childminder/ whoever cares for your child goes on holiday?

It's actually my Mum that looks after dd 3 days a week, she's going on holiday for 6 wks in Sept/Oct. I could do one wk, dh could do another, would a childminder take her for 4 wks only?

This must crop up for other people, what do you do?

I've done temp holiday cover before - you may be charged a higher rate, but there are cms out there who may be able to help you. It would depend on whether they had the space available. How old is dd?

I am a CM and I can normally find another CM to cover my holidays, so it is possible.

ny mb either takes the time off/gets in gp's or pays one of my friends

if you cant find a cm try a temp nanny

i have done a few temp jobs in my time covering the nannys holiday as parents didnt have any more time off etc

look on your local netmums
