Paris Paris Paris....

Three months ago I took a new live-in job in Paris. My job is to speak English to the bilingual child, as mum is French and dad English, and he goes to a French nursery.

I've been having difficulties finding playgroups, mother/toddler groups, anything like that. At my last job in Twickenham I would take the littlest to groups every day, Gymboree and singing and suchlike. Does anyone on here know of anything like this, in English, out here? Or of any nannys or au pairs here? Or a link to anything you may have found helpful?

Thanks!

You want to contact:

  1. Message - get your bosses to sign you up
  2. St Michaels - they have a playgroup and an 'au pair cafe' on a Thursday afternoon.
  3. AngloInfo - there are sometimes Enlgish speaking classes on there
  4. Me ([email protected]) and I will put you in touch with nannies out there.

Which arrondissement are you in?

Ohh, thanks for quick reply! I'm in the 6th, very central!

I used to be in the 7th. Mail me and I'll do what I can to help. The au pair who replaced me is at Metro duroc isn't too far from you, and I know an Aussie living in the 6th (at least I think she's still there).

I've emailed!

Replied. Another point is that the au pair who replaced me has free membership to the American Library so she might get you books if you meet her and like her! I used to do that for my friends.
