If you would like a booking form for this years NCMA Annual Regional Meeting, which is being hosted by Stockport on the 15th May 2010, and have not already received one from your CDO could you email me on [email protected] and I will send one out to you by email.

Please feel free to print more than one and pass it to another childminder.

Places are limited so please book early.

Thanks for the heads up on this Christine.
I've had the forms from Early Years Team, as I think they are called now, (no longer SureStart?) but I am committed to going to something else on that date.

I did go to the last one held in Stockport a few years ago (think it was in Reddish?) and really enjoyed it.

Thanks for that. This years promises to be equally as good although we now do things on a slightly smaller scale due to lack of childminders willing to come along and give it a try. I know a lot of people see that its on a Saturday and dont want to commit to yet another day in a hectic week but for one fun filled day a year they would be really missing out. My week is probably more hectic than most, and as you seem to know me you will probably know that it is, but I still found the time, along with Emma, to organise and run this thing so if lots of childminders take the time to support this event it will make all the hard work worthwhile. So to anyone who is thinking'should I' then go on give it a go.

Hello Christine,

I don't like being anonymous when "talking" to someone I know on the 'net, so I can tell you that I'm Karen S, in Woodsmnoor.

I'll ask at our drop in on Wednesday(the Great Moor one) if anyone is going. The enthusiasm of Childminders in Stockport for this sort of thing has dropped considerably since my early Childminding days and the early days of BOSCMA.

I know you are really busy. I wish I could take on as much as you do, and I used to. You will, I think, know of my recent problems, which have restricted the activity and input I can now muster not only for the wider childminding community in Stockport, but also for my own personal development. I am hoping to continue Childminding at least until my daughter leaves school in 2012; but have been unable to continue on the Childminding Network due to my inability to do anything other than compulsory training.

Hello you, Sorry I had no idea who you were as I had not heard about your troubles and am sorry for you loss, a little late I know, but sorry anyway. I no longer support mind and have never been on the Network but am busy as the Chair of Boscma and now on the committee for North West Region, plus full to the rafters with mindees and parents and tons of other stuff. Now you have my email, further up this post, keep in touch, and if you ever need anything just let me know.
