Does anyone know how we would find a hotel babysitter in Newmarket?

We're not from the area and will be down for one night on 25th June. We're bringing our DD who will be 18 months with us and we're looking for a hotel babysitter.

If anybody knows of any agencies who would be able to help, or even knows of anybody locally please let me know.

TIA

How long are you thinking of getting a sitter for?

Rindercella · 13/02/2010 22:21

Try Sitters We use them for regular babysitters at home, but pretty sure you can request sitter to come to hotel too. All of the babysitters we have used through them have been great - mothers and qualified childcarers.

I was going to suggest sitters too, I've been to a hotel to babysit for them before.

5pm - approximately 11.30pm.

Thanks Rindercella. I'm not too keen on Sitters (having been one myself!) but will give them a go if it comes to the crunch.

I might know someone (she works 2 day a week nanny for a family I know, 3 days for a nursery), she lives in Newmarket.
I can ask if she is interested, but wouldn't see her again until a week on Wed.

ChasingSquirrels, that would be great. Thanks.

often hotels have babysitters they they use regularly for their cilents, so ask them if they can reconmend one

or maybe they can reconmend an agencey

i do a lot of hotel babysitting, but am nowhere near your area

Shame its a friday otherwise i would do it. Contact the hotel as they may have babysitters they use or put a ad on gumtree/netmums west suffolk. If not, maybe Karyn from little darlings nanny agency 01638 560746 can help.

I used a hotel babysitter years ago. If you aske the hotel themselves they may be able to help. The one i used was ctually a registered childminder and so i was able to check her references and see her CRB and registration cert etc. You need to be really careful though and check thoroughly.
