CM's- individual eyfs files?

I know that some CM's have individual child files organised into eyfs order. My question to them is, what headers do you use? Is it just the l&d headers or the ECM headers or the 4 eyfs themes? And what king of thing do you keep in them? TIA

I don't use any order other than date

Never occurred to me to put them into eyfs order - a lot of the obs cover more than one area of development so might be a bit limiting??

Date order works for me too.

Sorry I haven't explained myself very well lol. I thought that some kept contracts etc all together. Maybe I have just got the wrong end of the stick!

I have one file for each child, with all their 'stuff' in date order. (except for emergency contact details, which I keep at the front of their file)

I have a slinger for each child in a metal locked filing cabinet this file contains all contracts, child records, info passed from parents to us and vice versa that is private.

I have an emergency contact list printed out that is kept to hand with passwords, emergency contacts, medical notes on in the playroom.

Then I have a file for each child under EYFS, which has the All about me book, Their Special Book, which is updated by parents and us every few weeks and the child puts things in their special book as and when they want to, this file also has initial profile, obs, assessments, next steps, photos, info from other settings if shared care etc.

So I keep the two very seperate I find it easier and as someone else mentioned I put in date order as many obs cover ECM's and the areas of learning as well. It's easier for me to do it the dated way as I can link back to the ob's when they have done next steps IYSWIM.
