Hello all,

Just wanted to update you and say thank you for your comments when I first posted about our nanny, who is lovely but never wanted to muck in with setting the table for dinner, washing up, etc.

So I finally found a good time to talk to her about it, she just said ok, no problem and happily joined me in making dinner that same evening and proceeded to wash up afterwards.

Early days I know but she was fine when I talked to her about this (which was my main worry, I don't want to upset her or make her feel uncomfortable) so I am hopeful it will be fine.

Thank you for coming back to update us and glad it went smoothly.

I often wonder how things turn out for the people that have come here for advice.

I must say it is weight off my shoulders as I was getting so tense about it. On one hand thinking she is absolutely wonderful (which she is) with my dd and I can never find anyone like that again (yes I know it's ott) but on the other dreading what I'll find when I walk into the kitchen or seeing her walk off to watch tv and leaving me and dh to clean up after dinner after we prepared it.
So helpful to hear others' opinions, particularly as they are from both nannies and employers.

Cheers!
