We only need one day a week...(a Saturday) for our 2.5yr old DS. Advertising on gumtree gets lots of applications but most are hopeless. there must be somewhere better?

I ad-hoc nanny at weekends as well as night nanny and most work I get is through netmums or gumtree. Some work comes through agencies but for weekend work best going with word of mouth in local area or using aforementioned sites.

where are you based?

I worked as a Saturday Nanny for almost 5 years-starting half way through my NNEB training. The job was for a family who contacted my college tutor (NNEB course) and my tutor recommended me.

I did every Saturday and the little boy who was 5mths at the start was a total delight-he is almost 13yrs now and a lovely boy!

It is something that i would consider doing again as my partner works himself, so if you are near Herts then let me know!
