Hello

I am completely new to this and am looking for a nanny to share with a friend, we live in West Norfolk and are stuggling to find any sources to search for a nanny in our area. Does anyone have any advice? it would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks

If advertising yourself, try looking for nannies and also placing an ad yourself on:
www.nannyjob.co.uk
norwich.gumtree.com/
cambridge.gumtree.com/
ipswich.gumtree.com/
www.childcare.co.uk

If wanting to use an agency, then
HelpUnlimited I think covers that area.
Tinies: Suffolk & Norfolk

There are some discussion threads about Nanny Shares on mumsnet at the moment which may be useful to you. Such as how a share tends to cost more than having a nanny just work for you. How salary splits could be done, if you should be individual or joint employers that kind of thing.

There is an experienced nanny advertising on the netmums website (West Norfolk and West Suffolk) page. She lives in Bury St Edmunds but is willing to travel up to 45 mins. Any good for you? I also live in West Norfolk. Other agencies I've tired include:

www.rockabyenanny.co.uk/
www.norfolknannies.co.uk/
www.helpunlimi ted.co.uk/

Good luck

Thats me who advertising!!!
I just about to ask whereabouts you are and what you are looking for?
I would also recommend contacting Clare from Rockabye.

oo hello and thanks for the replies.

We are in Downham Market - which is north of Ely just off the A10. We are looking for someone to look after both of our babies 2, or possibly three, days a week from 7am till 6:30pm, from about May onwards when our babies will be 7 and 8 months old.

Does this sound like anything you might be interested in?

thank you all very much for the recommendations for agencies, I will check them out tomorrow.

We're in Norfolk and found our nanny on Gumtree - but when we were interviewing we chose people form Netmums as well.

We were surprised how many nannies are around our way!

I'm afraid that is a bit too far away for me but i wish you the best with your search.
